Grilled Romaine Hearts with Lemon Caesar Dressing

Ingredients For This Recipe

  • 2 romaine hearts, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Lemon Caesar Dressing
  • 4 anchovies, drained
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese


  1. Place all ingredients for dressing except oil and parmesan, in mixing bowl.
  2. Using the Power Blender Go, process on high until well combined.
  3. Slowly, pour in oil and blend at medium speed until emulsified.
  4. Add parmesan and lightly blend until combined; set aside.
  5. Drizzle oil over romaine hearts and season with salt to taste; set aside.
  6. Preheat grill over medium high heat for 3 minutes.
  7. Add romaine hearts, turn down heat to medium and cook for 4 minutes each side, or until you get nice grill marks.
  8. Plate, drizzle with Caesar dressing and garnish.
